- According to the Ghana Education Service’s (GES) recently disclosed results of the teachers’ promotional examination, 69% of applicants who took the test in February passed. This indicates that 31% of applicants failed to reach the standard for advancement.
- Out of a total of 80,810 applicants who took the test, 55,917 passed and were able to secure employment at the upper levels of educational leadership.
- Candidates seeking to fill positions such as Deputy Director, Assistant Director I, Assistant Director II, and Principal Superintendent in the Deputy Director grade used the exam as a stepping stone.
- In a statement, GES said that candidates would receive a text message informing them of their success or failure.
