- President Akufo Addo has been cursed by a few resentful Chiefs and Traditional Leaders of Twifo Hemang in the Hemang Lower Denkyira District of the Central Region over his nomination of Hon. Nana Kwaku Abban, whom they consider to be inconsiderate to the chiefs in the area.
- Invoking the curses onto President Akufo Addo, the Traditional Leaders, comprising Chiefs, Queens, and subjects, killed a sheep and mixed a drink with bottles of schnapps.
- They want the gods to deal ruthlessly with the accused person and whoever will confirm his nomination.
- Otumfuo Amoah Sasraku IV, speaking to the media, stated that Nana Kwaku Abban, the candidate (accused person) and the assembly’s presiding member, had repeatedly refused to respond to the traditional leaders’ requests to resolve their disagreement. In view of this they cannot work with him as their DCE and therefore want the president to change him.
