- On Thursday morning, AT&T announced that phone service nationwide was impacted by a cellular outage that started before sunrise.
- Around four in the morning ET, the disruption started, although AT&T did not remark on it for several hours. Over 60,000 complaints were made about the outage on a website that monitors wireless service problems while the outage continued throughout the morning.
- “Some of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning,” the company said in a statement. “We are working urgently to restore service to them. We encourage the use of Wi-Fi calling until service is restored.”
