- Sam George, a member of parliament from Ningo Prampram, has questioned the legality of several real estate ventures in Ghana, claiming that the industry is a front for money laundering.
- In an interview with Joy, he asserts that individuals use the estate to clean ‘dirty money’ obtained by illegal methods. He also claims that political campaigns are funded using the revenue from the company.
- His assertions come after a revelation in the Chronicle newspaper that Cecilia Dapaah’s maids, Patience Botwe and Sarah Agyei, are being prosecuted on five counts of theft involving US$1 million, €300,000, and millions of Ghana Cedis, as well as one count of conspiracy to commit a crime.
