- At the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi Asante Kotoko defeated Nsoatreman FC 2-1 to win the J.A. Kufuor Cup. Under the direction of former Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu, the Porcupine Warriors shown a great will to win and overcame a goal deficit in the first half.
