- Claims made by the convener of the Fix the Country Movement regarding a rumored financial offer made to him by Ministry representatives have been refuted by the Ministry of National Security.
- Mawuse In order to stop the movement’s demonstrations against the ongoing economic crisis, Oliver Barker-Vormawor claimed that a major government official made the financial offer to the movement and its allies at a meeting.
- “They offered to set up a committee and appoint us as members in order to stop this activism,” Barker-Vormawor said. “This was made directly to me and other leaders of FixTheCountry, which we refused.”
- “This conversation was had with the minister of national security, minister of finance, and a Brigadier-General of the Ghana Armed Forces at a safe house at Cantonment,” Barker-Vormawor told Metro TV.
