- She was accused of using a fake student permit to enter Ghana and work as a journalist for New Force, which claims to be a platform for young people to voice their opinions and aspirations.
- The New Force said that Abbiusi was innocent and that they had evidence of her innocence.
- In a video posted on social media by the New Force, Shalimar Abbiusi is shown pleading for support for the newly formed political party in Ghana.
- According to the Ghana Immigration Service’s (GIS) accusation against her, Abbiusi allegedly fraudulently claimed to be a student at Ghana Christian University College in the Greater Accra Region on or before September 23, 2023, with the intention of dodging legal requirements.
