- One person has died as a consequence of an altercation between town guys from the nearby neighborhood and students from Osino Presby Senior High/Technical School.
- Today, Tuesday, February 20, 2024, saw a furious altercation between a bunch of town guys who were allegedly from Nsuapemso, an Osino suburb in the Fanteakwa South District, and pupils on the school grounds.
- According to sources, there had been a simmering dispute between the town boys and students from Osino Presby Senior High since Monday, February 19, 2024.
- According to Agoo FM’s close source, the altercation escalated when one of the students allegedly confiscated a phone belonging to one of the town boys and physically assaulted him on Monday during a school debate in a different community.
- The next day, Tuesday, February 20, 2024, the town guys returned seeking revenge, and there was a violent altercation between the two groups.
- The six town guys tried to set fire to the boys’ dormitory during the brawl, but the students’ prompt involvement prevented them from succeeding.
- In the ensuing scuffle, one of the town boys was apprehended and subjected to severe beatings before being rushed to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. In response to the incident, law enforcement agencies from Fanteakwa South District and Koforidua have deployed a team of officers (Police) to the school premises to ensure 24-hour security and maintain peace and order.
- Concerned parties have made calls for the authorities to strengthen the school with a fencing wall to keep out illegal people. This will improve security measures and stop situations like this from happening again.
