- On Monday, October 30, Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC) became victorious in the 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz.
- Achimota School scored 28 points, Opoku Ware School scored 23, and Legon PRESEC won the competition with 40 points. This is the school’s eighth victory in the competition.
- As a result, PRESEC is now the National Science and Maths Quiz competition’s most successful school in its history.
- Only 11 schools have won the NSMQ trophy since it was first given out in 1993–1994; this makes it one of the most coveted and challenging championships in Ghana.
- OWASS and MOTOWN had hoped to make it to their third win each in the history of the competition.
