- Richard Boateng, 31, a native of Savage, Maryland, was discovered dead in the North Shores section of Rehoboth Beach on Monday shortly after noon, according to authorities, who announced that they had called off an hours-long multi-agency search for him.
- Around 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, Boateng was last seen in the surf off the beach near Rehoboth Avenue.
- Many rescue workers went to a reported sighting on Monday morning, and shortly before 6 a.m., Boateng was located.
- Delaware authorities are looking into a fatality, but they don’t believe any wrongdoing has occurred.
