- A total of 38 aspirants have been selected for the parliamentary elections in Ghana, with Alibono Ephraim and Ayuba Seidu withdrawing from the Chiana-Paga and Bawku Central constituencies. Three candidates will go unopposed, and three are women. The NPP currently holds only the Binduri seat, which has Abdulai Abanga as the MP and Deputy Minister of Works and Housing.
- Unopposed candidates include Thomas Kofi Alonsi, Director-General of the Ghana Maritime Authority, Alhaji Hanan Abdul-Wahab, and Mathew Silas Amoah, a businessman. In the Zebilla constituency, Dr. John Kingsley Krugu will contest Frank Fuseini Adongo, while Thomas Duanab Wuni will face Robert Ayinenaba Alibo and Willams Zoogah. In the Tempane constituency, former Deputy Attorney-General Joseph Dendiok Kpemka will be contested by Alhaji Bashiru Ibrahim.
- Contests in the Chiana-Paga constituency will feature a two-horse race between Robert Alou and Mark Ayamga, while District Chief Executive Musah Osman, Georgina Laadi Azumah, and Emmanuel Asore Avoka will contest in the Garu constituency.
- In the Builsa South constituency, Daniel Kwame Gariba will be contested by Thomas Kwesi Adama, while Elvis Atia Awonekai will face Agana Rashid Bawa and Abilio Rawfield. Three persons filed to contest in the Bongo constituency, while Charles T. Ndanbon and Paul Wooma will contest in the Nabdam constituency.
- The Navrongo Central and Bawku Central constituencies have the highest number of aspirants across the region. In Navrongo Central, Municipal Chief Executive Joseph Adongo will be contested by Alhaji Abdullah Achuliwor, Dr Raymond Ayilu, Perry Adamba, and Gregory Abasang. In Bawku Central, a private legal practitioner will contest between Mohammed Tahiru Nambe, Amadu Mogtar Bagaya, Agwanwa Gabiana Bugri, Paul Agobre, and Salifu Bashiru.
